Money Autobiography
by Aurora Medina MA. www.AuroraMedina.net
To transform our relationship with money we have to know how this relationship started. We have to bring into the conscious mind all the memories associated with money. Was that memory fun? Did you enjoy it? Or was it painful and full of frustration? Chances are that your first memory with money is affecting the way relate to money in the present time.
We cannot change what we don’t acknowledge. If you are a spender or you hoard money this is a result of an experience you had as a child or a behavior your saw from those who raised you, usually your parents. Also, culture plays a big role in the way we relate to money. If we come from a country where all we saw was scarcity, we probably have a mentality of scarcity.
Money is energy; we have the power to change the way we relate to it. I like to invite you to get a notebook, your own money journal to start writing about your money autobiography; you may need a box of tissues by your side, you may not. Write about your memories and don’t forget to include all the feelings that rose from the experience. If you don’t understand the meaning of your writings don’t worry for now. The must important thing is that you put your thoughts in paper as an outlet to clear your mind.
The life you deserve is just around the corner if you make the commitment to have a relationship with money that is joyous and give your peace of mind.
